Lighthearted and Authentic Diversity in Storytelling
As a screenwriter with a background in development and animation production, Renae knows what it takes to make a great show, before, during, and after that first script is written.
After completing post-graduate studies in Children’s Media, she spent several years working in development for kids and unscripted, as well as in animation production.
Renae later served as Development Manager for Yowza Animation, where she worked with notable international partners and organizations, including The Nelson Mandela Foundation, to adapt and develop properties for TV and digital platforms.
Renae is currently in various stages of development on a few wonderful kids shows with Toronto-based production companies, and was recently selected as the winning project in the Project 10 Productions x BIPOC TV and Film Comedy Accelerator Initiative.
With a personal approach of lighthearted, authentic diversity in storytelling, Renae aims to create fun, memorable characters and stories that endure for decades to come.
